Former Texas State Senator, Wendy Davis, had her claim to fame filibustering against pro-life legislation which eventually passed. Afterward she ran for governor, making late-term abortion her main issue, and was soundly defeated. She campaigned so much on the issue; she was called “Abortion Barbie.” After recently keynoting a Planned Parenthood fundraiser—pretty much her main gig now—someone asked her about the ethics of aborting a seven-pound baby. Wendy’s response was, “That never happens.” And added, “The only time late-term abortions occur is when something has gone horribly wrong.” The reality is about fifty late-term abortions are done every day with only five percent accounting for medical issues. Either she’s lying or incredibly ignorant. I don’t think it’s ignorance.
