Here’s a story to warm your heart. Zhung Chi is a student at a high school in China. But he has muscular dystrophy and can’t get to around on his own. So his classmate, Xie Xu, has been carrying him to and from school and from class to class. So at least twelve times a day for two-hundred days each year, Xie has been his legs. The unique arrangement has been going on for three years. China is a country where respect for human life is in short supply. Unborn babies with disabilities are routinely aborted. The school deputy headmaster said Xie’s example has had a positive effect on the other students, who reach out to make sure Zhung is cared for. The fact this story has gone viral makes it an effective lesson around the world that all human life is precious.
