Peter Singer is notorious for his bigoted ideas of riding the earth of the undesirables—those who he believes have a poor quality of life. Singer is actually a professor at Princeton University. Recently he was advocating the use of Obamacare to weed out more of America’s undesirable people. Only he was more direct. Singer said it was about, “intentionally ending the lives of severely disabled infants. I don’t want my health insurance premiums to be higher so infants who can experience zero quality of life can have expensive treatments.” Who does he mean when he talks about zero quality of life? People with Down syndrome who increasingly live very happy and productive lives, many living on their own. If Singer’s searching out the severely disabled, he should look in the mirror.
