Mothers Who are Grandmothers

Bradley Mattes   |   May 07, 2015

Mother’s Day is fast approaching so today I want to acknowledge the mothers who are called grandmothers. For whatever reason, after raising their own children, these women have also opened their hearts and homes to grandchildren. These dear women who’ve existed since the dawn of time deserve a special Mother’s Day card and accolades. Even though their title isn’t mother, their job description certainly is. They’re in the trenches of parenthood with all its ups and downs. Plus, they likely deal with a few challenges not faced by more traditional moms, such as an advanced age and less energy to go with it. If this describes someone in your life, make certain you shower your “mom” with extra love and attention. Every day they walk the talk all innocent human life is sacred.
