Hospital Sued for Not Doing Enough Abortions

Bradley Mattes   |   March 23, 2015

The American Civil Liberties Union, known as the ACLU, is suing Skagit Regional Health, a hospital in Washington State for violating the Reproductive Privacy Act. The hospital does abortions but is getting sued because they’re not doing enough abortions. The ACLU filed the lawsuit on behalf of a former hospital employee, a pro-abortion activist. The suit also complains the hospital’s allowing too many doctors and nurses to opt out of doing abortions because of their values or religious beliefs, which the law requires them to do. A spokesperson for the hospital said the only way they can both follow the law and keep the ACLU happy is to stop delivering babies altogether. I have some advice for the rabidly pro-abortion ACLU, but I’m quite certain they don’t want to hear it.
