Yesterday a horrific explosion left human carnage at a maternity hospital in Mexico City. Tragedy struck while couples were joyfully anticipating the birth of a child, or reveling in the new member of their family. While a truck was supplying natural gas to the hospital, a hose burst and the leak caused an explosion. Scores were injured and several lost their lives, including babies. My prayers go out for these tragic victims and their families. Here’s my question: what’s the difference between lives being lost in a maternity ward or intentionally killed at abortion mills? The answer: A few months, or even just weeks. A mother can decide to have an abortion any time during pregnancy for any reason. The value of life, born or unborn, young or old is precious.
