Court Petition to Declare Jahi McMath Alive

Bradley Mattes   |   October 03, 2014

Nearly a year ago Jahi McMath made headlines when Oakland Children’s Hospital apparently botched a routine surgery causing her to bleed out and suffer cardiac arrest.  Days later the hospital declared Jahi brain dead and told the family they were removing life-sustaining care.  Fast forward to now.  Jahi’s in a safe place getting care, and tests done this past week showed results so positive, their attorney Chris Dolan filed a court petition to have Jahi declared alive.  I visited Jahi and her family the day after the tests were taken and I’m confident she’s not brain dead.  Management at Oakland Hospital should be quaking in their surgical scrubs.  A jury won’t take kindly to what they’ve put Jahi and her family through.  Please pray for Jahi and I’ll keep you posted.
