Texas State Senator Wendy Davis soared to fame when she held an eleven-hour filibuster against pro-life legislation banning abortion after five months—well after the point when a baby can feel pain. Her new-found notoriety generated boatloads of money from pro-abortion groups, so she ran for governor. In a move that’s considered totally tasteless and over the top, Davis is selling baby clothing online to help fund her political race. Keep in mind this is the same woman who once described abortion as “sacred ground” and has been called “Abortion Barbie.” But soon after the notoriety wore off, Davis realized most women in Texas support the legislation she fought against. Now she’s trying to rebrand herself as pro-life and a friend of babies. The question is, will Texas voters remember?
