Feud Between Abortion Advocates Intensifies

Bradley Mattes   |   August 27, 2014

A royal feud is intensifying between factions within the pro-abortion movement.  On one side are the big, rich and white pro-abortion organizations like Planned Parenthood, NARAL and Emily’s List.  On the other are smaller groups run by women of color.  Melissa Flourney, head of Louisiana’s Planned Parenthood, already had plenty of controversy to handle—like the three Medicaid fraud lawsuits against them.  Still, she found time to throw gasoline on the fire.  She attended a meeting held by women of color and monopolized the discussion afterward, basically chiding them for not adequately supporting Planned Parenthood’s agenda.  Well, you-know-what hit the fan and the battle between pro-abortion factions heated up.  A few days later, Flourney resigned her position.  I’ll keep you posted.
