Many people are joining the ALS ice bucket challenge. Operators of Twitter, Facebook and email are in a frenzy to video themselves dumping ice cold water over their heads and then challenging others to do the same. I won’t be joining the crowd to support the ALS Association. Why? Because they support killing human embryos with embryo stem cell research. On their website is an article that quotes their science director and vice president saying, “This new technology gives us the means to develop cell lines that will allow drug discovery for ALS.” She adds, “It’s an exciting tool to test new drugs.” I won’t support an organization advocating the deaths of thousands of human embryos for research. By the way, adult stem cells don’t kill humans and are providing loads of breakthroughs.
