Conjoined Twins Share One Head

Bradley Mattes   |   May 27, 2014

Renee and Simon of Sydney, Australia recently gave birth to conjoined twin girls. However, this case is extremely rare. Doctors call the condition “craniofacial duplication.” The girls, Faith and Hope, share the same body from the neck down. Here’s where it gets unusual. The girls also share one skull but each has a face and a separate brain. Pictures of the babies are shocking to look at. The doctor encouraged their parents to abort the babies, saying people would call them freaks. But Renee and Simon, along with their other seven children welcomed Faith and Hope with open arms. The girls are already showing their personalities. Faith cries more and loves to suck her thumb, while Hope prefers sleeping and a pacifier. May God richly bless this precious family.
