Abortion Rate Lowest Since 1973

Bradley Mattes   |   February 10, 2014

The abortion rate is the lowest since nineteen-seventy-three. The Guttmacher Institute, first founded to be the research arm of Planned Parenthood, surveyed abortionists and found a thirteen-percent drop from two-thousand-eight until two-thousand-eleven, the latest year figures were available. Researchers say the survey reflects a time before a rash of states enacted protective laws curtailing abortion. But I think the jury’s still out on past pro-life laws. They also say it doesn’t reflect the fewer number of abortionists in business. All things considered, less abortions are in large part due to pro-life education. Life Issues Institute is the only group solely dedicated to educating America to the realities of abortion. We’re leading the way in being a successful window to the womb and it’s working.
