Abortion as Birth Control

Bradley Mattes   |   February 28, 2014

Pro-abortion activists have long said if we make contraception available, there’ll be fewer abortions. That’s absolutely not the case. The United Kingdom’s largest abortion network researched over one-hundred-fifty-thousand women who had abortions. They found an incredible two-thirds of them were using contraception when they conceived. This means contraception is ineffective and women are using abortion as birth control. As awful as that revelation is, pro-abortion activist, Ann Furedi, said women “need accessible abortion services as a back-up.” I’d say two-thirds is way more than a back-up. Abortion’s being used as the main contraception. In the U S, over half of women use abortion as birth control. We need abstinence outside of marriage, not contraception.
