Jahi McMath

Bradley Mattes   |   January 03, 2014

On December ninth, Children’s Hospital in Oakland, California performed a tonsillectomy on thirteen-year-old Jahi McMath to correct her sleep apnea. But the routine turned tragic, and after the procedure, doctors told Nailah, Jahi’s mother, she was brain-dead and they’d be taking her off life-support. Nailah got an attorney to protect her daughter’s life and legal procedures followed. The parents say she’s repeatedly responded to their voices. A group of New York doctors believe it’s too early to give up on Jahi. Is the hospital trying to end her life to cover up mistakes in the operating room? I don’t like what I’m seeing. They’re not cooperating in providing care or transferring her elsewhere. And calling Jahi “the dead body” instead of her name is revealing. Please pray she gets proper medical care.
