Move over Tim Tebow, you’ve got reinforcements in the athletic world. His name is Prince Amukamara, and Prince isn’t his first name, it’s his title. He’s the son of a Nigerian village chief. The Prince plays football for the New York Giants and helped them win the Super Bowl his rookie year. Amukamara is known as the twenty-four-year-old virgin who doesn’t drink. His teammates call him “the black Tim Tebow.” He credits his lifestyle to his relationship with Jesus, and says it’s easier to avoid temptation than to deal with the consequences. He met his fiancée after defeating my beloved Green Bay Packers in the twenty-twelve playoffs. And Amukamara says being a Christian is more thrilling than the Super Bowl, because the thrill lasts.
