I have a real passion for babies and soldiers. Those who defend democracy, even from other countries, deserve our respect and admiration. Lance Corporal Gary Coleman was with the Royal Engineers in England, and fought in the army in Kosovo, Iraq and Afghanistan. He was diagnosed with cancer and his dying wish was to live long enough to hold his unborn baby daughter. His wife, Joanne, asked doctors to induce her early so Gary’s wish could come true. Seven days after holding her, he died. But before God called Gary from this earth, he purchased birthday cards for his daughter’s first, thirteenth, sixteenth and eighteenth birthdays. This brave soldier will communicate with, and provide comfort for, his baby daughter in the many years to come. What a precious gift.
