I’ve long said government control of our healthcare through Obamacare will result in fewer insured, not more. The backlash had already begun to take place. UPS announced it will not cover insurance costs for workers’ spouses if they can get coverage somewhere else. In this case it’s about fifteen thousand people. Mega companies like Papa John’s pizza and Subway are looking at reducing employee hours to under thirty so they won’t be forced to pay for their insurance. Other entities and cities are doing the same. They already include Youngstown State University, Brevard County in Florida, the Fort Wayne school district in Indiana, and the list goes on. Obamacare will result in tens of millions more uninsured—those least likely to be able to afford it on their own.
