Sherry and Phil Boas will tell you they’re blessed, and with good reason. All of their four adopted children were meant to be aborted. The oldest was born to a crack addict who went in for an abortion but changed her mind at the last minute. The second had a birth mother who wanted an abortion but couldn’t afford it. The third was conceived in rape and has Down syndrome and also nearly aborted. The fourth’s birth mother was looking for a late-term abortion mill, when the baby was unexpectedly born prematurely at twenty-five weeks. Sherry and Phil’s story is proof there’s no such thing as an unwanted child. Every child—even those with special needs—would be welcome in thousands of homes across the nation. Actually, Sherry and Phil aren’t that unusual.
