Last Wish Fulfilled

I know Mother’s and Father’s Day are behind us on the calendar. But I’ve got a true story that underscores the importance of both. A young couple in Kenya, Africa, was expecting their first baby when Robin, the father, was diagnosed with liver cancer. His condition was terminal. He desperately wanted to see his child who, he was sure, would be a girl. As both the pregnancy and liver cancer progressed, it looked like Robin wouldn’t live long enough to see his daughter. His wife, Janet, asked the doctor if they could deliver the baby two months early so Robin could see the baby before he died. After consulting, the doctors on the case agreed. Two days later, Robin peacefully slipped into death with a smile on his face. A smile from being a father.
