A Texas-sized drama unfolded Tuesday night as the State Senate was voting on a law to stop abortion after 20 weeks. It would also require abortionists have admitting privileges to a local hospital, and all abortion facilities have the same level of medical care required by other surgical centers. State Senator Wendy Davis planned to hold a filibuster to scuttle the bill. When the Senate ruled the filibuster was over, pandemonium broke out in the gallery filled with pro-abortion activists. State Rep. Steve Toth, observing the action, said the mob was in-part being directed from Senate floor Democrats. There were also tweets by the president of Planned Parenthood. In the end, time ran out and bill didn’t pass due to illegal mob rule. I hope our good Texas pro-lifers give it another try.
