Iceland’s known for paving its own course among European nations, and in this case, they’re going the right way. Iceland’s Interior Minister is drafting legislation to ban the dissemination of pornography. The evidence is overwhelming pornography increases the incidents of sex outside of marriage, which in turn creates more unexpected pregnancies and abortions. The legislation the Interior Minister is working on would block porn on all internet-capable devices such as smart phones and computers. He seems to have broad support. Educators, the police and those who work with children have endorsed the idea. Iceland already prohibits the publication of porn on their soil. It’s estimated up to thirty-percent of all webs traffic is related to porn, so I hope and pray other nations will follow Iceland.
