There’s been a lot of talk about the Obama Administration forcing employers to provide drugs that cause abortion in their insurance plans. Oral arguments before the US District Court for the District of Columbia show just how strident Mr. Obama is on this issue. Judge Reggie Walton raised a question with the attorney representing Mr. Obama. The judge’s wife, a physician, has a one-person practice and incorporated it to protect her from potential individual liability. Judge Walton asked, “She’d have to go as an individual proprietor with no corporation protection in order to assert her religious right [not to provide drugs that cause abortion in her insurance plan]?” The attorney responded, “I actually don’t think it is that important.” This is the highest level of arrogance against religious liberty I’ve ever seen.
