Mom Says No to Doctors

I’d be rich if I had a dollar for every time a doctor told a woman to abort her baby saying the child wouldn’t survive—and was proven wrong. Doctors told Jade and Rikki to abort their child because he faced very challenging physical problems. Little Riley’s heart was on the wrong side of his body with disconnected valves. His bowels were also twisted and one of his kidneys isn’t functioning correctly. Mom said no, but the doctors persisted. Jade said, “Doctors told me time and time again Riley would have no chance and I should consider abortion.” But she chose life for her baby and hasn’t regretted it. It’s been a tough road. Riley’s been in the hospital most of his young life, and his health problems aren’t over. But Jade says she wouldn’t have it any other way.
