Olympian Holds Onto Virtue

Bradley Mattes   |   August 20, 2012

In the wake of the Summer Olympics, I’m finding out about some really great athletes. Of course their athletic abilities are high, but I’m talking about character. Take Lolo Jones, one of America’s best track and field competitors. Lolo placed fourth in the hundred meters hurdles heat and got lots of flack. She’s known for being a devout Christian who’s saving sex for marriage. After the race, bloggers posted countless vile and disgusting comments, even cheering, saying Lolo would run faster if she had sex. Sadly, it’s as if they hate her because of her virtue. Maybe they’re jealous of what they threw away and Lolo is protecting. Please pray for Lolo, that God will aid her efforts to follow the Lord’s will, and reward her faithfulness with a great husband.
