Surprise Baby Shower

Joan is an 80-year-old grandmother who had a surprise baby shower. Joan’’s a much-loved and well-known pro-life supporter. In honor of her 80th birthday, her family knew she wouldn’’t want gifts. So they asked those coming to the party to bring unwrapped baby items to be given to the local pro-life women help center. An estimated $1,000 worth of diapers, baby clothes, toys and other items were collected. They’’re now being used by women facing unexpected pregnancies. Women who otherwise wouldn’t be able to afford the basics for their babies. Sometimes these resources are what make the difference in a mother’’s decision whether or not to have an abortion.
