I’ve been in the pro-life movement for 37 years, and don’t often see elected officials who truly inspire me. Wisconsin Governor Scott Walker has. He recently won a recall effort to unseat him. During his victory speech, the first thing he said was, “I want to thank God for His abundant grace.” This devout Christian, the son of a Baptist preacher, is solidly pro-life. The last 18 months have been excruciating for him and his family. The opposition was relentless and vicious in their attacks on him—both personally and professionally. But here is a man who took a bold stand for his beliefs and dreams for a better Wisconsin, and didn’t waver in the face of unspeakable opposition. I believe God has much more in store for Governor Walker. America, are you watching? This is what great leaders are made of.
