Voters Make Bold Pro-Life Statement

Editor   |   November 03, 2010

Cincinnati, OH (Nov 3, 2010) – America sent a loud and clear message at the polls yesterday. Voters said that President Obama’s pro-abortion agenda—the most pro-abortion in history—is taking our nation in the wrong direction.

Pro-life Americans, fueled by economic and other social issues, fired their elected officials in droves. Politicians—from local offices to the US Senate—experienced the wrath of Americans who felt their elected officials have been ignoring their wishes.

According to the most recent election results, Republicans have taken control of the House of Representatives, paving the way for pro-life leadership to take control. Republicans also made considerable gains in the Senate.

“The big question,” said Bradley Mattes, executive director of Life Issues Institute, “is whether or not the new and surviving politicians have gotten the message. This past Congress and the President forced pro-abortion Obamacare down our throats and inflicted considerable damage on our nation. It’s heartening to see the voters fighting back. They have the final say.”

In addition to pro-life victories in Congress, several pro-life governors and attorneys general were elected. Countless pro-life members of state legislatures across the country were also victorious. “All of this should give Planned Parenthood heartburn,” said Mattes. A growing number of PP affiliates are suspected of financial fraud regarding overbilling Medicaid for abortion and family planning services.
